Annette Porterfield is a registered nurse and experienced paralegal. She brings over 20 years of clinical experience in hospital nursing, home health care and nursing administration. Early in her career, Annette became active in the areas of Quality Assessment and Quality Improvement. She served on committees both in the hospital and home health care agency at Doctors Community Hospital, contributing to the development of numerous policies and procedures. This interest prompted her to continue her education in legal nurse consulting.

 

For the past 12 years, Annette has used her extensive nursing experience assisting in the defense of medical malpractice, auto tort and personal injury claims. She reviews and summarizes medical records, performs medical research and coordinates with clients and medical experts throughout the litigation process. Annette has assisted attorneys in successfully defending health care providers at trial.
